After working as a meteorologist, obtaining a degree in Applied Physics & Astronomy, and with fifteen years industry experience as a software engineer, I decided to create Egg Moon Studio as an independent mobile app development business and as a way of combining my technical and creative skills.

Having worked in Windows application development for fifteen years using Object Oriented programming, the logical framework to develop native iOS applications is Monotouch, which is a cross-platform mobile development framework that allows developers to harness the power of C# annd .NET to create native cross-platform mobile applications.

Scope Nights is my first app and an obvious first choice given my interests and experience. As an amateur astronomer myself I'm extremely pleased with Scope Nights and hope fellow stargazers will find it an indispensable tool and a welcome relief from sieving through conventional weather apps for clear skies. It's designed to be quick and easy to use whether at home or at an observing site, and I plan to add more features in future if Scope Nights becomes popular.
